Powerless is about a boy named Daniel who moves to a new town and meets some friends. He finds out that each of his friends has a super power. But somehow, mysteriously, each kid loses their power on the day of their 13th birthday. Daniel and his friends figure out that the villain who is stealing their powers is called "The Shroud." Together, Daniel, his friends, and even the bully set out on a mission to stop The Shroud! What will happen?
I thought this was a really cool book because, while Daniel didn't any powers of his own, he was helping to save his friends' powers. I also like how there is another mystery in the book, how one boy, Eric, has two powers where everyone else only has one.
